The Taj Mahal

The Muslim emperor Shah Jahan built this mausoleum at Agra in 1631 and dedicated it to the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Humayon’s Tomb

Built by Haji Begum in the mid-16th century, the Humayun’s Tomb is a beautiful example of early Mughal architecture.

Qutub Minar

This red and buff sandstone structure is the highest tower in India as well as the world’s tallest brick minaret.

Jaisalmer Fort

Despite having numerous souvenir shops, hotels and eateries within its walls, you will still be enchanted by the havelis (private mansions) and temples found inside.  It is considered one of the largest forts in the world.

City Palace of Udaipur

Udaipur is said to be India’s most romantic locale.  Also known as the City of Lakes, it houses the largest palace in Rajasthan which towers over a man-made lake.

Mehran Garh Palace

Situated inside the Mehrangarh Fort, this deep terracotta-colored palace still houses the descendants of the Maharaja of Jodhpur.

The Red Fort

One of the more popular sites in Delhi, this massive 17th century fort is a testament to India’s power.
