Urine Versus Yams - Which One Should You Use?

When it comes to taking hormones, you have a few options, but most people don’t understand the basics of these options. In fact, many people didn’t even know that certain hormone replacement was made from urine.

One of the often prescribed hormone drugs is made from the urine of pregnant horses.
If you take a look at the options available to you, it’s always best to choose the one that’s bioidentical.

These are hormones that are made up of the same molecular structure as the hormones that your own body produces. The most often prescribed bioidentical hormone replacement is found in testosterone, progesterone or estrogen therapies.

These can be as commonly prescribed or compounded, based on individual need. You want bioidentical because these have been tested so that you get the proper level of hormones unlike hormone replacements that are not bioidentical.

What many replacement therapies rely on is the synthetic based form. This commonly prescribed treatment is man-made – such as the one using the urine of pregnant horses.
Why these treatments aren’t the best for you is because they’re not an exact measure.

They figure out the hormone amount the body may need and create the therapy. Taking these man made treatments will treat whatever side effects of hormonal imbalance you’re experiencing.

But they’re also going to turn around and cause other health issues because they’re not natural, they don’t match hormone for hormone what your body makes and what your body needs.

What you’ll find more often than not is man-made hormone replacement therapies that give you far more hormones than you need or that your body can actually use. While low levels of hormones can make you feel awful, taking replacements that give you too much will also make you feel bad and give you a host of other symptoms to deal with.

Replacement therapies that are not bioidentical can also impact your organs – such as your heart, adrenals and liver. One study showed that urine based replacement therapy raises the risk of both stroke and cancer.

When it comes to taking hormone replacement, you don’t want to deal with a treatment that can do more harm than good or one that guesses what your body needs You want one that’s the same as what your body makes in the exact amount that you need.

You also want bioidentical – which is what you get when you use replacement products that are made with yam. Using replacement therapy containing yam can help with hormone imbalances relating to progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone. It’s widely recognized as a healthy replacement for other forms of estrogen replacement therapy.
